P240

P240 is a fluoride basic flux, designed for demanding applications and widely used in the offshore and pressure vessel segment of industry. With its high basicity, it delivers weld metal properties with excellent impact toughness at low temperature, and good CTOD with a various range of wires. It has been design to be used in multipass. Raw materials and manufacturing process used will guarantee a very low initial moisture content and low moisture pick-up. Combined with the "Sahara Ready Bag" (SRB) this is an extra safety margin for applications in demanding environment. Slag detachability is easy when opening exceeds 12mm and P240 can then be used in deep groove with narrow included angle. P240 has a high current carrying capacity which makes it suitable for tandem arc configuration and advanced solution such as the long stick-out process in triple arc combined with the PowerWave AC/DC 1000 SD power source. A specific reference (P240X) is also available for low Bruscato requirements dedicated to creep resistant steel applications.
