Cleveland - The Voyage™ Arc Virtual Reality Headset from Lincoln Electric has won a silver medal from the 2023 Brandon Hall Group™ 2023 HCM Excellence Awards^® program in the category of Best Advance in Education Delivered Through Technology.

Since their inception in 1993, the Brandon Hall Group Awards have recognized industry organizations worldwide that include small, medium, large and global enterprises; government entities; not-for-profits; and associations. Entries focus on programs, strategies, modalities, processes, systems and tools that have demonstrated measurable results.

The silver medal from the Brandon Hall Group goes to the newest offering from Lincoln Electric’s education segment, launched in the summer of 2023. The Voyage Arc VR Headset is an interactive and immersive classroom platform that introduces welding fundamentals to students. Developed to spark an interest in a career involving welding, it exposes the learner to career opportunities and promotes career exploration.

Framed in an amusement park adventure scenario and designed to appeal to tech- and media-savvy students, Voyage Arc programming introduces users to welding techniques such as travel speed, position and contact-tip-to-work distance. Lesson topics include:
• Introduction to Safety and Elements of PPE
• Common weld joints and how they’re made
• Introduction to Stick and MIG welding

The Excellence in Technology Awards showcase the best innovations in learning, talent management, talent acquisition, human resources, workforce management and sales enablement technologies. The Brandon Hall Group receives applications every year from a diverse range of organizations worldwide, reflecting the ever-evolving landscape of technology solutions.
