DETAILS
OP 121TT is a fully basic agglomerated submerged-arc welding flux that is widely used for the welding of structural and fine grained low alloy steels requiring high integrity welds with low temperature impact and CTOD fracture toughness properties. When combined with OE-SD3, may be used in the Long Stick Out (LSO) technique to obtain deposition rates of up to 17kg/h with a single 4.0mm wire. Mechanical properties are exceptional even at high deposition rates and slag remains self-releasing up to very high welding speeds. OP 121TT is widely accepted as the industry standard when welding offshore structures such as oil platform jackets, piles, decks and modules and thick section (80mm+) wind turbines (using LSO technique).
