DETAILS
WEARSHIELD® MI stick electrode is ideal for hardfacing of carbon or low alloy steels requiring a martensitic deposit with considerable retained austenite. Typical applications include conveyor screws, tractor grousers, ditcher teeth and lumber equipment. Deposits tend to cross check crack and are usually best limited to two layers. It can be welded in all positions (except vertical down).
Features
- Provides a martensitic deposit with considerable retained austenite
- General purpose electrode, a good compromise for metal-to-metal wear, moderate impact and mild abrasion
- Can be used on carbon and low alloy steel parts
