DETAILS
It retains its hardness at temperatures in excess of 760°C. It also provides high resistance to metal-to-metal wear.
Features
- The weld deposit contains a high proportion of hard, wear resistant primary carbides making it most suitable for applications where abrasion resistance is of prime importance.
- It also provides high resistance to erosion and cavitation.
- Compared to other cobalt based alloys, it is more crack-sensitive, and care should be taken to minimize the cooling stresses experienced during hardfacin processes.
- Due to its high hardness and wear resistance, it should only be finished by grinding.
