SuperGlide® S3

MIG (GMAW)

CLASSIFICATIONS:
ER70S-3

SuperGlide® S3 from Lincoln Electric is a premium bare MIG wire designed for use on clean, oil- and rust-free base material.

DETAILS

Our premium bare MIG wire, like our SuperArc® L-50, is an excellent choice for 50,000 psi (345 MPa) yield strength, carbon steel base materials.

Features

  • Deoxidizers tolerate light mill scale
  • Microguard® Ultra provides superior feeding and arc stability
  • Bare wire reduces copper fumes
  • Supports short-circuiting, globular, axial spray and pulsed spray transfer

Typical Applications

  • Clean to light mill scale base material
  • Sheet metal to 380-485 MPa (55-70 ksi) yield strength material
  • Pipeline
  • Pressure vessels
  • Structural steel

Welding Positions

  • All

Shielding Gas

  • Mixed Shielding Gas|100% CO2

NOTES

Note
⁽¹⁾ CTWD (Contact Tip to Work Distance). Subtract 1/4 in. (6.4 mm) to calculate Electrical Stickout.
⁽²⁾ Procedures in these areas are procedures for short circuiting mode using 100% CO2. When using 75% Argon, 25% CO2 for short circuit transfer, reduce voltage by 1 to 2 volts.
